TLI31222 CERTIFICATE III IN DRIVING OPERATIONS

TLI31222 Certificate III in Driving Operations is a nationally recognised qualification for individuals engaged in the transport and logistics industry. A course in Driving Operations is an opportunity to increase skills and knowledge as a professional driver. Students will up-skill and understand all the latest requirements, including fatigue management, load restraint, chain of responsibility, route planning and processing workplace documents.

COURSE DETAILS

Entry Requirements

While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, students will need to be employed full time or part time and have access to a workplace to be able to gain sufficient experience to successfully complete the unit of competency requirements.

Students need to have a level of reading (literacy) to complete the training and assessment resources, as well as language (English) and numeracy skills to participate in activities at this qualification level in the workplace. At enrolment, Saltera Training will ask students to undertake a Literacy, Numeracy and Language indicator to confirm their skills and/or identify if additional support may be required.

When packaged into an apprenticeship program (Heavy Vehicle Driver Apprenticeship) relevant licencing age restrictions may apply. The Apprentice must also hold an open driver’s licence.

Course Structure

This qualification contains 15 units. These are made up of 5 core units, 1 mandatory driver awareness unit and 9 general selective units.

Duration

Certificate III level qualifications may take students up to 24 months to complete.

However, qualifications are competency based therefore depending on individual circumstances students may be able to complete in a shorter period of time.

Assessment Methods

Training will take place at students workplace and will include visits from a Saltera Trainer every 8-12 weeks. Paper-based and/or online accessible workbooks with learning content and activities to completed.
