This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. A forklift truck is a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and forklift arms and attachments.
After successfully completing both the theory and practical components of this unit, the trainee is qualified to hold a forklift truck High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL).*
TLILIC0003 License to operate a forklift truck can be delivered face-to-face and completed in 6 hours. Alternatively, it can be completed online (self-paced).
Assessment may include answering questions in your workbooks or online, doing projects and practical tasks, some of which may need to be observed by a person in your workplace, or directly by your assessor, and may also include keeping a log of activities you complete in the workplace that your supervisor can confirm.
Saltera Training offers continuous enrolment throughout the year for this qualification.
