BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is targeted at individuals working as supervisors, WHS personnel and workers in other WHS-related roles who manage risks, apply relevant WHS laws, and contribute to WHS within the workplace.

Course Information

While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, you will need to have a level of reading (literacy) to complete the training and assessment tasks, as well as language (English) and numeracy skills to participate in activities at this qualification level in the workplace. At enrolment, Saltera Training will ask you to undertake a Literacy, Numeracy and Language indicator to confirm your skills and/or identify if some additional supports may be required.
This is a Nationally Recognised qualification that contains 10 units: 5 core units and 5 elective units.
BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety may take an individual with limited existing experience in this area approximately 12 months to complete, although depending on your experience and/or opportunities in your workplace you may be able to achieve the qualification in 9-12 months.

If working part- time, duration will be advised upon commencement as this may take an individual the full 12 months to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve competency in this qualification.

Training will take place at your workplace or an external facility and will include workplace visits or sessions with a Saltera Training Trainer every 3-4 weeks, with course content delivery via our Online Learning System.
Assessment may include answering questions in your workbooks or online, doing projects and practical tasks, some of which may need to be observed by a person in your workplace, or directly by your assessor, and may also include keeping a log of activities you complete in the workplace that your supervisor can confirm.
Saltera Training offers continuous enrolment throughout the year for this qualification.
